Sightseeing - Chapter 8.

The next morning, Fifi and Maddie decide to do a few hours of sight-seeing before they're due at the arena. They grab a taxi to Times Square. Walking past all the theatres, restaurants and other famous attractions, they are amazed by it all. It's all hustle and bustle here, they soon realise! After having dinner at a nearby diner, they make their way back to the hotel to drop off the souvenirs.

Again they all head for the arena for the last time tonight. The guys go for the soundcheck and VIP party followed by the show. Like the night before, there were no glitches. Fifi found herself watching Alex again, she likes the way he gets the crowd excited. She giggles at the way Nick gets carried away with his dancing but glad he's having fun. She can tell he feels more comfortable whilst on stage. The other three do equally as a good job as well. The guys also did an After Party after the show and they are al full of energy. As everyone has a day off the next day, they all go for a drink in the hotel bar (except for Alex) once they get back from the arena. Nick and Howie check on Fifi to see how she's doing. She tells them she's okay and enjoying herself as she's had little interaction with Alex as possible. Nick goes to give her a big hug...

"You sleep well and I'll see you tomorrow."

After breakfast, with everything and everyone, the buses set off to Philadelphia. Fifi is hoping to make a visit to the 'Rare Library' as she's such a big book worm.

Thankfully it takes around two hours to travel from New York to Philadelphia on the road so it's just a case of sitting around chatting or making phone calls to home.

"Maddie, want to come with me to the library?"

"Maybe... There might be some cute guys lurking about?!!"

Sighing and laughing, Fifi isn't surprised by Maddie's reply; ever since they were young, she's seen her with so many dates looking for the 'one'.

"Hey, you might even meet someone too Fifi. It's about time you find a nice guy!! It's been since... You know who. You're really missing out and it'd be so cool."

"Thanks! I don't want everyone knowing my business. I'm not as confident as you are, I've never really gotten over him and learning how to trust. I have too many issues that I have not yet dealt with."

"Sorry, I didn't mean it to sound bad. You just need experience and for someone to treat you right. Well we know it was always his loss. Guys just don't realise the impact they have on us girls. You seem to be getting on great with the guys here, really well and they do look after us."

Fifi starts putting her coat on and gathers her things together for when they get off the bus. Kristin comes over to ask what they're going to be up to over the next few hours. When she disappears, Fifi stands up and turns round to find her worst nightmare sitting behind her, both Alex and Nick. Shaking, she turns back round to see the bus pulling up to park and walks over to where the door is. Rushing off; Maddie is left behind as Fifi goes to check in as quick as she can to get away from the situation she just found herself in. As soon as she lets herself in her room, she dumps her belongings and heads straight to the bathroom to be sick. Different thoughts whirl round in her head; what did they hear, knowing what he knows, how is Nick going to be when he sees her and will he treat her different. This goes for Alex too and what if he thinks she hates him? As she was busy being sick, she didn't hear Maddie coming in. Worried; Maddie puts her arm around Fifi and holds her hair back.

"Hey, you left me behind misses. Are you okay?"

"Yeah I will be. I just felt sick. I didn't know they were sat behind us on the bus. I bet Alex thinks I hate him and Nick, well I don't know."

"Fifi, don't you?"

Fifi wasn't quite expecting to hear her fried say that, asks if she still wants to go to the library.

"I don't hate him, but everything else still stands. Once we get back, maybe we can relax and order room service?"

"Sure, why not?!"

So off they go to find the Rare Library, taking in the sights as they wander through the busy streets. They stop off at a cafe for something to eat. After an hour or so, they find the library. Fifi is hoping to find some Shakespeare or Beatrix Potter's work while Maddie is just looking randomly. They love the old building and all the big 'stately' style rooms, they've spent a few hours here. Between them, they take lots of pics of each other and of the architecture. Later on back at the hotel, which is  more old fashioned than the one in New York and Fifi has a little wander around it on her own. She bumps into Nick and they carry on waking, together. He tries to reassure her...

"Yes, I knew Fifi. Just by the way you were feeling uncomfortable and awkward at my place. I didn't and don't think any less of you, it's actually nice change meetings girl who isn't after my body. I would have said this to you straight away but with AJ being there, I couldn't. I wished he never screwed you over like he did and I'm saying that as friend to you both."

"He did screw me in so many ways, I hate being the way that I am."

"Talking from experience, I know how difficult it is leaving people behind that you love. Don't let him or anyone stop you from living your life to full, Fifi, come here and I'll give you a big hug."

Moving herself, she allows herself to be cuddled by Nick. Then they go their separate was to the bedrooms and feeling worn out, Fifi decides to climb into bed. The following week goes by fast. The girls are busy with their work and looking after the guys, making sure they have everything they need. Everyone had left Philadephia, been to Tampa Bay (Nick's hometown), Atlanta and are now at Cincinnati. They have already done one night and are on their second night here. The usual wardrobe checks have been done, the guys do their soundcheck and VIP party. It's the middle of the show, Fifi watches them on stage, mainly focusing on Alex although she doesn't want to but can't help it. It's a case of taking her back to when she used to watch him at local talent shows.
