Pulling up in the hotel's reception drive, Fifi is all dressed up and is now feeling apprehensive. All day she has been building up tonight. The driver gets out, comes round and opens the car door for her. She takes a deep breath and climbs out. Once inside, she walks over to the reception desk to ask Everest the private function is being held and is given the directions. As she walks towars the function room, she holds herself together and hope she doesn't bump into anyone she knows before going in there, thankfully she doesn't. A passerby compliments her. The doorman opens the door for her and she takes a small step into the room. Walking a little further in, she looks around to see any familiar faces and stops to let another person giving her a compliment. Them she spots the three wives and makes her way over to where they are. Leighanne is first to see her and and she stands up to greet her; wrapping her in a friendly hug. Leigh and Kristin soon follow suit. A minute later, Kristin is on the phone to Kevin, telling him to look over and see Fifi. Fifi asks where Maddie is and then she goes to find her. By the food counter, she spots them talking and laughing, luckily she catches Maddie's eye who then trots over. Maddie squeals in delight...
"Wow! Talk about being the belle of the ball, you look amazing Fifi!! Have you just got here?"
"Thank you Mads, I... I yeah just a few minutes ago. Where is everyone, apart from the wives?"
"Spread out ha, Nick is over there dancing ad the others are all dotted about. Want a Coke? I'll get you one, you make your way back to where they are and I'll be back."
Maddie disappeared on over to the bar and Fifi slowly wandered, looking around. Unaware that Nick has seen her and he tres his best to not swoon on over to her. Alex is coming back from the toilets when he sees Fifi standing by the table and has to take a double take. He walks over to her and pulls her into a hug. Meanwhile, from afar, Kevin is watching the scene and ie actually happy.
"Fifi, you...look amazing baby! I... I don't know what to say."
She smiles at him and checks him out too...
"You look really good too, Alex. Very handsome."
"Like to dance, miss?"
"Can I have some of my drink first, please..."
"Sure, I'll sit here while you do. Is there anything you'd like to dance to?"
"Hmm I don't mind."
"Okay, you wait here and I'll be back."
Then he stood up and vanished. Fifi couldn't see Nick and found herself feeling a bit deflated. Maddie must have seen the look on her face and told her that he is here. The next minute, Alex is back and is eager for her to join him on the dance floor so she placed her hand in his. He placed one arm around her waist and the other holding her hand. Fifi found herself breathing in his smell and nuzzling into his shoulder. He pulls her closer and circled his fingers down the base of her spine, this gives her chills. The song that starts to play is 'Amazed' by Lonestar.
"Oh my god! This song, you remembered??"
"How could I forget, Fifi?! You loved this. I wanted to make this dance special for you. You're special, always have been... To me."
"Am I? This was my song for you."
They move around in small steps, both last in their own thoughts. He's now lowered his hands onto her hips. He softly sings along to the song into her ear...
"...every little thing that you do, baby, I'm amazed by you. The smell of your skin, the taste of your kiss, the way you whisper in the daek. Your hair all around me, baby, you surround me. Touch every place in my heart, and it feels like the first time, every time..."
"That was beautifully sung, Alex. It means so much to hear you sing it to me, like you used to do."
He kisses her gently on the forehead and she blushes. When the song finishes, they both sat down with the others. People were taking pictures of each other, and Maddie wanted one of Fifi and Alex. She got Fifi to sit on his knee, she could sense that he still liked her and tries her best to relax them both. Afterwards, Fifi quickly sits back in her own seat and subconsciously looking over at Nick. Fifi meets lots of the British officials from the record company and she is really enjoying herself. Maddie and Nock stood up, dragging her up on to the dance floor, Alex tagged along too. One of the officials come over to talk to Alex...
"Hey, how you doing and what a beautiful misses you have, Alex?!"
Alex shifted about in his chair...
"Hmm, she's not my girlfriend and she's Fifi, Fifi this is Gary!"
Fifi shook his hand, completely ignoring Alex at feeling upset by the way he spoke to the man. Then Alex and Gary continue to chat for a while, not even bothering to include her. Nick must have noticed her sitting there, with her shoulders slumped and looking unamused so he goes over to ask her to dance. Without thinking, she takes his hand and follows him onto the dance floor. Pussycat Doll's 'Hush Hush' starts playing and they soon get lost in the music, dancing. Then Beyonce's 'If I Were A Boy' and Fifi glances over at Alex; feeling annoyed, she tries hard not to get upset in front of Nick...
"What's up?"
"Nothing, I'm just being silly and over-acting."
"I saw how annoyed you lookd back at the table and that's why I came over. You can tell me, y'know. I know you're not the type of girl to cry over spilled water."
"It's... I just didn't like the way he introduced me to that guy."
He turns to see who she's been looking at and then faces Fifi...
"Bone? Why, what did he say?"
"It's not what he sad but his tone. I don't know. He acts like he's gods gift or something and I'm just a random person."
Poor Nick is unsure of what to say and tries to reassure her...
"He probably didn't think, baby. You aren't no random person, look at you...you look beautiful!"
"I just wonder what happened to the Alex I knew before he became AJ..."
"He's still the same guy, but he just gets it wrong sometimes. Don't let him ruin your makeup, alright?"
He takes her hand and twirls her round along to the music, making her giggle.
"Guys are just... Crap!!"
"Hey! Take that back, missy!! Haha!!"
She sticks her tongue out and shakes her butt at him causing him to laugh. If only she knew what she does to him especially as she shakes her booty at him! He sees Alex standing up at the table looking over at Fifi and motions for her to go back over so he points his head in Alex's direction. When she leaves Nick, he wanders over to the bar whilst watching Fifi and Alex.
"What was all that about before Fifi?!"
"Huh?"
"You were really rude to Gary."
"No, I wasn't. I didn't like the way you spoke to him about me, it wasn't nice. Then you just talked to him as if I wasn't there."
"What's the problem, I introduced you didn't I?"
"Yes you did, but it doesn't matter."
"Women! You drive me crazy, round the bend!"
Then he walks off in the direction of the toilets, presumably to calm himself down. Fifi felt even worse. She interacts with Maddie and the WAG. Even if they could see what was happening, they didn't let on. As it was now getting late, people were starting to leave. Alex still hadn't come back so she excuses herself from the table and goes in search of him. She manages to speak to Gary as she bumps into him and apologises for being rude earlier which he seems surprised by. He in turn apologised for assuming that she and Alex are a couple. They said goodbye to one another. She took a sneaky peek in the men's toilets to see if he was there but he wasn't. Desperately trying to think of different places where he could be. So she walks back into the function room and spots the windows, she remember seeing a balcony from when she ventured into the gardens the day before so she heads for it. Her stomach is in knots but she has to sort it out. When she first opened the patio door, she couldn't see anyone and after closing the door, walked to the edge of the balcony. She turns her head to the right and sees a figure with a lit cigs rattle.
