Part 2 to chapter 32

"Thanks, it just doesn't feel right."

"That's alright babe. I understand."

She sits back with her cushion in her lap as they watch FRIENDS, Fifi isn't as obsessed with this show as much as Alex is although she does love Joey and Rachel.

"So what plans have you got coming up? Anything fun?"

"There's Jas's hen do, which will be interesting to say the least. There will be a few girls from school, if you remember any of them?"

"Like whi? Yeah I still can't get my head round that she's getting married!"

"Yup cease to wonder, huh?!"

A little while later, Fifi's stomach starts to rumble letting her know she's hungry so goes to search the cupboards for food. Unfortunately she finds nothing in that's easy to cook so calls Alex into the kitchen.

"There's no pizza or anything. Shall we get a takeaway delivered?"

"Yeah sure. You can choose though. I'll have anything!"

Half an hour later and the food arrives. Alex lays the plates out on the coffee table while Fifi goes to select a DVD from her room and she picks out one of her favourites movies.

"What have ya got?"

"It's a surprise!"

"Is it some chick flick?"

"It's a classic! Just be patient, Mr McLean!!"

"Yes, ma'am!!"

Then she sits herself back down comfortably next to Alex and they tuck into the food. Fifi decided on cheesy garlic bread, chicken strippers, potato wedges and BBQ chicken pizza with ice cream for dessert. Poor Alex doesn't get to eat as much as he would have liked as Fifi got in there pretty quick! He is still amazed by her increased appetite but doesn't share this thought in case he offends her.
Once all the food is gone, they settled back to watch the movie. Alex is impressed with her choice which is 'Some Like It Hot'. Sometime through the film, Alex fell asleep and Fifi goes to get a blanket. She carries on watching the film until she too fell asleep.
Early the following morning, Alex wakes up and it takes him a few minutes to the his bearings straight. He soon realises when he sees Fifi curled up, fast asleep and stays until she wakes up.

"Hey, morning sleepy beauty."

"Morning."

He gives her a hug and makes his way to the bathroom. Stayed sitting, Fifi stretches out her arms and yawns, rubbing her eyes. Now feeling more awake, she walks into the kitchen. Alex must have heard her putting the kettle on as he goes in there, perching himself on a bar stool.

"Whatcha got there?"

"Oh hey, I didn't see you coming in, would you like some breakfast? We've got toast, pancakes and porridge. Oh and fruit. There's only three pancakes left and..."

"It's okay, you have them. I'd love some toast please. I can see to mine if you like so you can sort yours out?"

"You sure? Have as meant slices as you like, there's jam and golden syrup in the cupboard above the oven. Coffee is nearly ready and there's orange juice as well... Help yourself."

"Thanks baby."

Ten minutes pass, the breakfast is ready and they sit down to eat. As they eat, Alex's phone starts ringing, he ignores it to begin with until the ringing becomes consistent and he eventually goes to answers it.

"Hello? Oh hi! Yeah, what today? Where about you at? Right okay, give me an hour as I need to get home to change and freshen up. See ya soon bro."

Alex then finishes the rest of his breakfast.

"Alex, you can shower here and I'll throw your stuff in the washing machine while you're showeri g? It will save you time."

"Oh, you sure?"

"Yeah, just leave your clothes out by the door and I'll put them on quick spin."

He thanks her and runs to the bathroom, quickly undresses and wraps a towel around himself before calling for Fifi to pick them up. She goes to pick them up off the floor and puts them in the washer. While she's waiting, she washes up all of the dirty pots from last night and breakfast. She begins to think about Alex and how the blip with him getting 'excited' makes her feel uneasy. Yeah she thinks he's hot and she can see why she fancied him all those years ago. The upcoming meeting with his therapist is looming upon her and she begins to doubt whether she should go. She wants to go for his sake and to show her support. Unsure, she decides to just go anyway.
