Sorting out their packing ready or when they go to England is proving to be harder than they first thought.
" what's the weather like over there?"
"Wet?! Well I don't think it's as warm there as it is here, Mads. I'm just gonna pack in-between weather like jackets, tighs, leggings... I am taking my new outfit though, the one I bought when we went shopping for your 'date' with Harry."
" yes, you should take that outfit, it's well hot and sexy!!"
They finally pack ther clothes, leaving the toiletries until just before they leave and there's a few dats yet until they do go. Maddir goes to see her family while Fifi does the same with hers. This will be the last time until they come back.
"Hey sweetheart. How you doing?"
"Hi mom, I'm fine thank you. You well and dad?"
"He's the usual and Peter is out th back with him, if you want to join them. I'm just sorting the drinks to take out, what would you like?"
Fifi looks in the fridge and decides on some Coke. She follows her mom outside and is greeted by her dad and brother. They both give her a by hug and make sure she's got a seat to sit on. After exchanging friendlies and brief catch up; talking about what each other have been up to, their jobs, the usual. Peter tells them all about his girlfriend; Jessie. He's only been dating her for just over a month so it's still early days but he seems happy.
"So where did you say you met her?"
"On a night out. You'd like her, Fifi."
"Cool, can't wait to meet her. What does she do?"
"She works in retail and she's great!"
Peter continues to talk all about Jessie, impressing the family. A sudden feeling the need to be sick, Fifi goes running back inside and pukes as soon as her head is hanging over the toilet. Her stomach hurls and her throat burns as the sick passes through it. Splashing her face with cool water to rinse away any signs of sickness and cools herself down.
"You okay sweetheart?"
"Yeah, why?"
"You looked a bit flushed and not quite yourself."
Oh it must be the hot weather getting to me, I'm alright. Thank you though, mom."
Understanding his sister's reluctance in being smothered by their mother and excited about something else in his life, he jumps in taking the attention away from his sister...
"Oh, hey Fifi, guess who I met up with the other day?"
"Who?"
"Alex! He's awesome. I finally had that catch up we were on about when we last saw each other at that concert date, we all went to."
Forcing herself to not let her grogginess become apparent and wishing it'd disappear,
"That's good for you, you have fun?"
" yup! He was talking about you; an awful lot."
By now he was whispering only to Fifi as he didn't want to embarrass her. Now she was trying not to sound too interested, she wanted to hear more...
"Yeah he regrets treating you like he did but he said you know that he does."
"Oh yeah he does. What did you get up to?"
"We went golfing. He said you were all going to London?"
"Yep, that's why I've come here today to see you all. Been packing with Maddie and sorting bills out, don't want to get into debt while we're not here, ha ha!!"
The rest of the afternoon and early into the evening, Fifi and her family enjoy a barbecue together. They stay sitting outdoors until the sun goes down, laughing and joking with one another like they always do. Fifi gets to meet Jessie briefly as she came to pick up Peter and they dropped her off at home on their way back to theirs. She found her brother's new girlfriend; pleasant and impressionable. Jessie is cute with her mid-length auburn red hair, freckles and bright blue eyes. She's a little curvier than what she is but Fifi can see why her brother found her attractive. When she got dropped off, Maddie had already gone o bed so Fifi decided to follow suit but wanted to do something first. Taking her phone out of her jacket pocket, she sends a text message...
"Hey, thanks for the other night, Alex. Heard U met up with Peter, hope U had fun. Sounds like he's missed his buddy....
Night and see you on the plane,
Fifi x"
Washing herself; brushing her teeth and dressing into her pyjamas before climbing into bed. She lies there in the dark, just thinking. All of a sudden, her phone lights up and reading the screen; she sees its Alex replying...
"Anytime baby, didn't want to leave U stranded out on the street. Yup! Missed him too, missed I too Fifi. Why U up so late anyhow?"
Alex x"
A smile lights up her face and she holds her phone closely to her chest whilst closing her eyes. Her heart flips and flutters, things are really starting to get better. As soon as her eyes closed, she was asleep.
