The first few days after coming back to the USA, both the girls rested at home and visited their families. Maddie went to stay with Harry for a few days leaving Fifi on her own at home. She spent a lot of time sleeping and the vomiting hit her like there was no tomorrow. Whenever she spoke to anyone on the phone or even facetiming, she acted like everything was normal. As the dats wore on, she missed Alex and Nick, like crazy and wanted to see them. Alex was spending time with his mom and attending counselling sessions as with not being able to attend any therapy whilst away. Nick spent some time with his friends.
However Alex did take her out and they went ice skating.she had seen Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvil who are UK's Olympic ice skating champions on the television while they were all in London and fancied having a go at it. He picked her up in his car at around noon and they chatted the whole journey to the ice arena. When they arrived, they checked in and went to get their skates on. He offered to pay it all but after her expressing her wishes to pay towards something, they agreed she'll pay the hire of the skates. Walking to the ice, they were excited and couldn't wait to start! Neither of them had skated before so it was a new experience for both. Fifi was a lotto unsteady to begin with so reached out for Alex's hand and he stayed by her side until she felt sturdy. They played around and Fifi thought she's try to do a trick, like Torvil and Dean would so. She sped up, made a jump to do a littl rotation, landed and as she was still at some speed, ended up going flying across the ice! She shrieked and Alex upon hearing her cry for help, rushed to catch up and grabbed hold of her. Somehow he managed to steady them and in one piece. They were equally relieved! She started to laugh uncontrollably but he was just relieved. It made him smile seeing how happy she was at him rescuing her. For the next hour, they continued to move around the ice and having fun. When it was time for their session to finish, they decided to go for a bite to eat at the restaurant that's situated down the street. As it's nice and warm, they walk; Leaving the car at the ice arena.
"Do you remember that little restaurant you used to take me to, it was cheap but lovely?"
"Ah yeah, that was our little haunt wasn't it? Is it stil open nowadays?"
"Hmm... I think so. I haven't been in years, well since we last went."
He looked at her who's looking slightly perplexed at whether she should have said it or not so he takes her hand in his, hoping to relieve her worry, letting her know that he is okay with her.
"Maybe I can take you there, would you like that, Fifi?"
"Yes, I'd like that."
His hand gripped her tighter and she turns to smile at him. As they walk into the restaurant, they're greeted by a young waiter guy who lets them sit wherever they choose. They sit down and browse the menu. Alex goes for chicken thighs with fries and she gets a boneless chicken banquet box. They talk until the waiter brings their order and Alex is surprised by how much she has ordered for herself.
"Wow are you hungry?! That would do us both! Ha ha! Well, lets tuck in, shall we?!?"
"Hmm yes let's! I'm a little hungry."
They tuck I'm, devouring the food and Alex finises eating first, he is impressed with Fifi's big appetite. She's not so impressed though but doesn't really care as long as she fills herself up. The restaurant is a busy place with all kinds of people, particularly young ones. Schools nearby have finished so there's lots of kids and students surrounding the pair.
"So, if you're in the biggest boyband in the world, how come no one has asked you for an autograph?"
"It's their parents that are the fans, alf of those kids weren't even born when we were at our highest peak."
"Oh okay, I was just curious."
"So when is Maddie back? You must be missing her?"
"I hate it on my own, we've lived together since college and I am missing her, but it's the company more than anything. It wouldn't surprise me if she moved out to live with Harry soon."
"Aww babe. You'll be fine, you can always hang out with me. Maybe I can visit your place sometime? Hey perhaps I'll even be allowed to go in your room now, ha ha?!!"
"Just maybe. Well we were kids back then at my parents hoses. I'd like to hang out with you, no leading me astray though, mind!!"
Alex checks he watch suddenly feeling a bit glum...
