Chapter 6 - untitled.

It's the next day and there's a meeting being held to discuss any late last minutes details concerning the tour. As soon as Fifi walked into the conference room, she could sense people watching her. After sitting down, she looked around and saw Alex staring at her from across the room, then a pair of striking blue eyes caught her eye. Fifi could see him smiling and she smile back. All that she could think about was her and Nick. Fortunately, she was on autopilot mode and jotted everything down without a second thought. Her eyes followed Nick as she watched him stand up and turned to his jacket on the sideboard behind where he is sitting, he grabbed his phone. She coudn't see what he did and Kevin politely instructed him to join back at the table. Feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket, she waits before checking it in case Kevin tells her off as well. Unable to resist though, she goes to grab it and ends up knocking her drink over. Howie hands over a pile of napkins to which she thanks him for. Sensing her embarrassment and self annoyance, he tells her not to worry and places the soggy napkins in the bin. Then she manages to get a sneak peak at her phone...

'Hey little miss x'

Glancing over, she sees a smug Nick winking and quickly texts back...

'Thank you for that! Lol! Hey blondie xx'

Looking around her, Maddie, Howie, Brian and Kevin plus some other people are busy concentrating on what's being said, and Alex is still staring, like a hawk. No matter how hard she's forcing herself to ignore him, it's making her feel uncomfortable and awkward. Thank heavens, Nick is a good distraction for her. Suddenly feeling rather hot, she decides to excuse herself for a few minutes so she can get a gulp of fresh air. Once outside, she closes her eyes as she leans back against the wall. To her surprise as she turns around, she sees Nick standing before her. 

"What are you doing here?!! You'll get us into trouble. I had to get some air, as it was way too intense up in that room."

"I came to check on you.. And to say hi properly. I can go back if you want me to?"

Holding hands, they start to walk back in but Nick quickly grabs Fifi in his arms and carries her round the corner, away from the main entrance. Laughing but slightly unamused, she demands him to put her down...

"I... I just wanted to..."

Then he dives in for a kiss to which she kisses him back, and wrapping herself around him. Fifi then sends him inside before they all send out a search party for the pair. Hoping she's given him enough time, she too makes her way back upstairs. 

"Sorry about being so long, I was feeling hotter than I thought and felt a bit suffocated but I feel much better now."

As she sits down, Kevin says...

"No worry Fifi, Nick went out to get a fan to help cool everyone down. We're not far off finishing now, I think. So is everyone coming to dinner? Our last get together before the tour... Ooh exciting times ahead guys and girls!!"

Within the next ten minutes, the meeting was finally over and the whole group went for dinner. It's booked at a local bistro restaurant and bar. It was nicer because all the WAGs joined them. It give Fifi and Maddie another chance to get to know the other ladies better. A few times Fifi found Alex dancing near her but she kept her distance from him. She did notice that he wasn't drinking unlike everyone else which made her wonder if that was why he was in rehab. Nick came to her and aking it clear that he was wanting to dance with her so she joined him on the dancefloor. Some time later, Nick was going to the men's room when she noticed Alex sitting alone, nearby. She went over to him...

"Are you okay Alex?"

Swirling his bottle of Coke round, he looked up at her, sighing...

"Yeah thanks!"

Before she had chance to say anything else, Leighanne dragged her back to the dancefloor to a 'Take That' track. This took her back to when she and Alex were together and this made her feel a little sad. Brian takes a dig at them for dancing to a rival boyband but Leighanne just laughs at him, this distracts Fifi from her own thoughts. Remembering the dance moves, Fifi gets a little carried away and everyone copies her. Despite her enjoying herself, Fifi is trying very hard to not get anxious about the prospect of the tour and seeing Alex every day. Anyway, Maddie appears out of nowhere and scares the living daylights out of her! Seeing the worried look on her friend!s face, she sits Fifi down...

"Fifi, I'm here for you whenever you need me. I know it's difficult being around Alex at the mo but it will get easier. The tour will be so much fun and you'll get to see some of the places you've always wanted to see. Do you wanna stay or go home? I don't mind either way. Hey, honey want to go to the ladies room and we'll sort your makeup out; I know you don't like to have panda eyes?"

With Maddie's hands around her shoulders, she scuttles to the ladies room. As soon as she looks at her reflection, she's glad to have come in here. While Maddie is on the toilet, being left in charge of the drinks, she sneakily downs a bit of the Smirnoff Ice and nearly feels herself wretching. Giggling at Fifi's facial expression and noticing some of her drink has disappeared, she directs her to join everyone else on the dancefloor while she nips to the bar. She orders a single Drambuie, another bottle of Coke and a Smirnoff Ice for herself. She slips a few drops of Drambuie into the Coke, Hoping this will help the anxieties and stresses her friend is having. Dancing onto the dancefloor with the drinks, hands Fifi her drink who takes quite a few big gulps of it. Maddie then joins in with the dancing. Looking around to see where Nick was, Fifi tiptoes behind him and pinches his bum...

"Oi cheeky!!"

Now Fifi feels dizzy and goes to sit down. Nick follows her... Sniffing her drimk, he tells her that he thins it's been spiked with alcohol; some sort of Whisky and she's not impressed. They talk for a bit and have a laugh together. Time has now passed and everyone has started to leave. Alex was the first one to leave,followed by Brian and Leighanne. Kevin and Kristin follow suit, leaving Nick, Howie and whoever else still at the place. Fifi and Maddie now decide to go home.
